The 3 days Tarangire & Ngorongoro crater will take you to the Tarangire national park, the home to the huge herds of elephants that moves in groups of their tribes. You will further proceed the Ngorongoro conservation area where you will descend to the crater which is the biggest unbroken rim all over the world.

Ngorongoro crater is a must visit during your stay in Tanzania. The good news is that unlike Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro conservation area is near to Arusha, making it accessible for the people on a short road trip.

Day 1: Arrival at Arusha airport, transfer to Tarangire national park
On arrival at Arusha airport/ Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO), you will be meant by your English-speaking guide or the guide that speak the language of your interest who will take you through all the dos and don’ts of your safari. You will also go through your itinerary before driving you through Arusha to make some purchases and later be transferred to Tarangire national park for an evening game drive. The drive to the park is about 1 and half hour drive which is 87-kilometre drive away from Arusha city which is the tourist hub for the Tanzania northern circuit.
The accommodation will be at Tarangire campsite 01 where you will have an overnight stay and dinner
Day 2: Game drive at Tarangire national park, transfer to Ngorongoro
Start the morning with a morning game drive through the park, the park is famous for its high concentration of herds of elephants that move in their family groups. The park is also a home to other big five of Africa including the lions, leopards, elephants and rhinos. Beside animals, you will also spot the baobab trees during the drive.
Vacate the park at around midday and travel to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will check in at Simba campsite on time for lunch and a bit of relaxation. After, descend to the Ngorongoro crater, the home to all the big five of Africa. The park is also a home to the resident wildebeest, making it a perfect place to visit all year round. This conservancy will offer you a chance to encounter all the big five in just a day. Your overnight stay will be at Simba campsite where you will have your dinner.
Day 3: Morning game drive at crater, transfer back to Arusha
After your morning game drive you will resume with your morning game drive, to encounter the morning grazers. After the drive, you will ascend the crater and drive to Arusha to embark on you next destination and that will be the end of your adventure safari through Tanzania.
