4x4 Land Cruiser with rooftop tent
Best for: camping safaris for couples and small families
Try “rooftop tent”, “Serengeti”, “park fees” or “one-way”.

Our largest safari vehicle, built for game drives with the whole group on board. Every seat has a window and the long-range tanks cover the distances between parks.
The Extended Safari Land Cruiser is a long-wheelbase Land Cruiser built for groups. It seats eight travellers, and every seat sits next to a window, so nobody spends a game drive looking at the back of someone's head. It is the car we suggest when a family or a group of friends wants to travel together in one vehicle rather than split across two.
This 2013 model has a manual gearbox, air conditioning and a fridge for cold drinks and picnic lunches on long park days. Long-range fuel tanks matter more than people expect: the distances between Arusha, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro crater and the central and northern Serengeti are long, and fuel stations inside the parks are few.
You can drive it yourself, but many groups of six or more book it with one of our driver-guides. A guide knows the tracks, the park rules and where the animals are moving that week, and everyone in the group gets to watch instead of one person driving.
