14-DAY LUXURY SAFARI ADVENTURE – KENYA & TANZANIA
This 14-day safari adventure features Amboseli National Park in Kenya, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. You explore the Amboseli – the home of tuskers in Kenya, where you can also view Kilimanjaro. Afterward, you’ll hike Mt. Kilimanjaro – the roof of Africa- and then venture off to Ngorongoro, where you can see the Big Five and other animals. The tour begins in Nairobi and ends in Arusha, featuring two fabulous East African countries.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by our professional driver guide who will transfer you to your Giraffe Manor in Nairobi. Enjoy your time at this luxurious accommodation, unwind, and prepare for the adventure the very next day. You can engage in optional activities like visiting the Karen Blixen Museum.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
After a gourmet breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the Nairobi Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Amboseli Airstrip. Arrive at the Elewana Tortilis Camp nestled in a private concession bordering the park, enjoy the serene settings, and have a bush lunch. After a leisurely lunch, set out on an exclusive afternoon game drive in a private open safari vehicle. Led by one of the seasoned guides, you’ll journey into pristine, remote areas seldom seen by others. Explore the plains to see elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and buffalo, as your first sightings in the incredible Amboseli. In the evening, you can search for lions and leopards, which come out of their hideouts as the sun sets.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park
After a sumptuous breakfast, we spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park. Witness large elephant herds, lions, leopards, wildebeests, and zebras. Alternatively, you can start the day with a balloon safari and observe Amboseli’s plains from atop a roam. The private open safari vehicle gives a 360-degree view of the park. Amboseli is also home to the Big Five. A full day can be the best way to view these creatures.

Day 4: Transfer to Moshi
This morning, we drive to Amboseli Airstrip, then fly to Wilson Airport. A private transfer will escort you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You’ll then fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to the Panama Garden Resort in Moshi.

Day 5: Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and driven to Marangu Gate. Meet the crew, which consists of a private chef, porters, and guides waiting for you. Your guide will help with the paperwork, after which we begin the hike. Today, we’ll walk through the lowland rainforest until we reach the first camp, Mandara Hut.

Day 6: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
After breakfast, continue hiking through the montane forest and emerge into the heath and moorland zones. The hike is long but worth it. From here, view the Moshi town and the two peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Then we stop for a while to open our lunch boxes. A further push will get us to Horombo Hut for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Acclimatization at Horombo Hut
Rise early, eat breakfast, then continue the push to Mawenzi Hut with a packed lunch. After opening your lunch box and resting a little bit, return to Horombo Hut for rest, dinner, and overnight. This day’s hike is meant for acclimatization – to prepare your body for the summit attempt.

Day 8: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut
After a hot breakfast, proceed hiking through the heathland, passing a saddle that connects Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Arrive at Kibo Hut early and start final preps for the summit attempt. It’s time to open your bag and prepare all the gear required for the final ascent. Enjoy an early dinner and go to bed since the final hike begins shortly at midnight.

Day 9: Kibo Hut – Summit – Horombo Hut
A friendly wake-up call gets you to do all the preps. After hot coffee, you begin hiking up a steep incline through Gilman’s Point (5,685m), then Stella Point, and finally the summit by sunrise. This is the most challenging part of the hike, but it’s rewarding. You’ll enjoy the view of the sunrise from the roof of Africa and the stunning glaciers. After taking photos, we start the first descent. Our first stop is Kibo Hut, where we eat lunch and proceed to Horombo Hut for a much-needed dinner and well-deserved sleep.

Day 10: Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate – Arusha
After breakfast, we finish the ‘piece of cake’ hike downhill. The rainforest zone may be slippery, but gaiters and trekking poles will help you overcome. Arrive at Marangu Gate to collect your certificates. Then get on your private vehicle and drive to Arusha to celebrate your achievement and sleep overnight.

Day 11: Relaxation in Arusha
Spend a day celebrating your achievement. Relax your body after spending six days at high altitudes. The Gran Meliá Arusha is home to high-end facilities like a spa, an infinity pool, etc. You can also go on a coffee tour or pedal around the streets of Moshi town.

Day 12: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater
Today, we drive through the highland zone to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. By late morning, we descend into the crater to experience rich biodiversity. Here, you’ll encounter animals like wildebeests, zebras, impalas, elands, elephants, warthogs, and pink flamingos near Lake Magadi.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
This morning, you enjoy a gourmet breakfast and descend into the crater floor. Today, we try new experiences like spotting the Big Five and picnicking at the hippo pool. Early mornings are good for spotting leopards, which spend most of their daytime in their hideouts. After lunch, we leave the crater for Arusha.

Overnight: Gran Meliá Arusha
Day 14: Departure
Today, we pick you up from the super luxury Gran Meliá Arusha and transfer you to the Kilimanjaro International Airport. This day marks the end of your program.
