Because it visits Tanzania’s most popular parks, this 14-day safari is exceptional and one-of-a-kind. The fascinating aspect of the safari is not just the parks you will see, but also the stunning cities you will pass en route to the parks. This journey will start in the southern parks, such as the largest in Tanzania, Nyerere National Park, Ruaha National Park, and Mikumi National Park, and conclude in the northern parks, Tarangire national park, which is more well-known for its baobab trees and elephant herds, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In addition, you will be able to take in the stunning views of the Usambara Mountains.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Dar es salaam, Tanzania
It’s finally here: the day of your Tanzanian safari has finally come. We’ll welcome you, answer your questions, and give you a brief overview of what to expect next before taking you out to explore what this amazing country has to offer. Take Tanzania’s pulse in Dar es Salaam, the country’s largest city and main international gateway, where you can experience the diverse cultures that make up this fascinating city. You’ll eat well at the many restaurants, and there are museums and beaches.
We will be hosting you in the Blue Sapphire Hotel. It’s a great starting point for learning about the area and preparing for the future.
Day 2: Drive to Nyerere National Park
You can fall in love with safari travel here at Nyerere National Park. After all, one of Africa’s largest lion populations is found in Nyerere. You will probably certainly encounter a lot of lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippopotamus, crocodiles, buffalo, and wildebeest. Leopards and African wild dogs can also be seen there, however they are more difficult to locate. The background of all these creatures is always stunning, no matter where you look. Parts of the reserve are covered in rocky hills, the Rufiji River is teeming with hippo, and the lakes are surrounded by palm palms.
Rufiji River Camp offers magnificent big tents and suites with views of the Rufiji River within the main gate to Selous Game Reserve. Enjoy some of the area’s best sunset views from the restaurant, bar, and gardens, and keep an ear out for hippos at night. It’s a good place to start exploring the park, and there’s a swimming pool as well.
Day 3: Full day game drive to Nyerere National Park
With its diverse landscapes and abundance of wildlife, Nyerere National Park is a place where no one ever complains about having to spend more time. For even more breathtaking river views, you will return to Rufiji River Camp in the evening.
Day 4: Another full day game drive to Nyerere National Park
Day 5: Drive to Mikumi National Park
You will travel to Mikumi National Park today. You will be able to understand this amazing park much better thanks to this park. After that, you will spend the night at Mikumi National Park’s Vuma Hills.
Day 6: Full day game drive to Mikumi National Park
Spending more time in Mikumi will enable you to fully appreciate this amazing park. Go back to Mikumi National Park’s Vuma Hills.
Day 7: Another Full game drive to Mikumi National Park
You will go on another game drive at Mikumi National Park today. The park will truly assist you in understanding this amazing park. You’ll head back to Mikumi National Park’s Vuma Hills.
Day 8: Drive to Ruaha National Park
Enjoy all that Ruaha has to offer; it’s one of Tanzania’s most rewarding yet least visited parks. One of the largest lion populations in Africa may be found in Ruaha, which is well-known for its large lion prides. Large herds of buffalo and elephants, as well as an abundance of giraffes, hippopotamus, and zebras, are also to be expected. With over 450 species identified in the park, the diversity of birds is equally astounding.
The experience of exploring one of the most stunning African wildernesses on the continent is what many visitors like most about coming here, aside from the animals. You will spend the night at Ruaha River Lodge in the incredibly untamed Ruaha National Park, which is situated on the banks of the Great Ruaha River, where several animals congregate to drink. Day 9: Full game drive to Ruaha National Park
Ruaha is a large park to explore, so you are always welcome to stay longer. You will return to Ruaha River Lodge in Ruaha National Park in the evening to spend the night and have dinner.
Day 10: Another full day game drive to Ruaha National Park
The more time you can spend at Ruaha, the better, as nobody ever regrets it. There is no better place to be in Ruaha National Park than the ring side seats on the banks of the Great Ruaha River.
Day 11: Drive to Dodoma city
Explore Tanzania’s national capital, a specially constructed city with churches, mosques, and Hindu temples dominating the skyline. You can also see the government buildings where important decisions are made. You’ll also like the opportunity to go to the market, select from a variety of eateries serving different cuisines, and use banks and other helpful services.
We will host you in the New Dodoma Hotel. The Parliament Buildings and Dodoma Airport may be reached by car in 6 and 10 minutes, respectively.
Day 12: Game drive to Tarangire National Park
Elephants and the park’s renowned, enormous baobab trees may be seen everywhere in Tarangire National Park. These two components are what give this park its unique character. Of course, there are a lot more. We are not referring only to the vast numbers of buffaloes, baboons, zebras, giraffes, hippos, wildebeest, and vervet monkeys. or the untamed terrain of savannah plains, wetlands, rivers, and rocky hills. Tarangire is a true lion stronghold, so you have a great possibility of spotting lions here. You should also look for cheetahs and leopards.
Northeast of Tarangire National Park, at the Maramboi Tented Camp, you will be at the shore of Lake Manyara. Savor thrilling wildlife encounters, expansive vistas, and luxurious accommodations without venturing outside the camp’s boundaries. Not unexpectedly, Maramboi receives a lot of return tourists, making it a fantastic site to rediscover the complete safari experience.
Day 13: Full game drive to Tarangire National Park
On your second day in Tarangire National Park, you will have the opportunity to continue your game drive and explore the park, which is home to a wide variety of species, including canivorous, habivorous, and omnivorous animals, as well as an impressive landscape.
Day 14: Game drive to Ngorongoro Crater
The first moment you step onto the crater floor at Ngorongoro is unlike any other safari experience in Africa, making it a unique location. This is a world unto itself, where you can see the 600 hyenas who live in the crater and the highly endangered black rhinos. In addition, there are about 50 lions residing in the crater and elephants with larger-than-normal tusks. But what will probably stick with you the most is Ngorongoro’s breathtaking beauty. Early in the morning, mist rises from the crater, exposing high, wooded walls, hidden streams where hippos graze, and a plethora of fauna that is cut off from the outside world.

Marera Valley Lodge is a great spot to stay, located along a quiet side street in the bustling town of Karatu, around midway between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. It boasts large vistas of the surrounding flora from its own spacious grounds. The large rooms are spotless havens you’ll be glad to return to at the end of a long day, and the elegant main structure houses a restaurant, lounge, and bar. It also has a swimming pool.
Day 15: Farewell Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
