10 days Tanzania mara river crossing scheduled safari (July 15 to 24)

This scheduled Tanzania safari is arranged to enable the budget travellers to have experience of your life as they witness the greatest animal migration all over the world. The river crossing of wildebeest which is the highlight of the year-round wildebeest migration that take place between Serengeti national park and Masai mara national reserve of Kenya. This scheduled safari will start from July 15 and end on 24 of the same months, starting and end at Arusha city which is the popular starting point of northern circuit safaris. The group size will range from 2 to 10 people, and it will be a camping safari taking you to different parks but ending with the highlight of the wildebeest migration at Serengeti national park in the northern part of the park.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha

You will meet your fellow travelers either at Arusha airport, our offices or at your respective lodges to get together for the start of our 10 days adventure through the top destinations of Tanzania norther circuit. After the meet up, the guide will introduce himself to the group also the member introduces themselves to one another before being briefed about the safari details as they plan to start this adventure.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After the morning breakfast, we shall transfer to tarangire national park led by your guide. On arrival at the park headquarter, you will do the due diligence before starting your first game drive throughout the park where you will encounter elephants and several other animals including the big cats. The park is also a home to big bao bab trees that you will witness as you are driving through the park. After the game drive, we shall head to our campsite where we shall have our dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After the breakfast transfer to lake Manyara national park, the home to the tree climbing lions. Beside the tree climbing lions, the park is also a home to other wildlife like leopards, elephants, among others. The park is also a haven to the bird enthusiasts, you will be able to witness various bird species including the flamingos that you will encounter on the waters of this alkaline lake on your visit. After the explore, you will head to your campsite for your overnight stay and dinner.

Day 4: Lake Natron

Lake Natron is a soda lake known to be with a high concertation of mineral. The lake is the home to the lesser flamingos that graces this red water lake. Some things that you are likely to see include various bird species for bird enthusiasts. You will also have a chance to go swimming on the lake also have a chance to walk on hominid footprint which are believed to be over 120,000-year-old. We shall end the day by visiting Ngaro sero waterfall which are found in Engaro sero gorge. After this great adventure, you will return to your campsite for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 5-6: Northern Serengeti National Park

After the breakfast, we shall head to the northern part of Serengeti national park where the highlight of our 10 day scheduled Tanzania safari will be and that is the river crossing of wildebeest. We are likely to have a view to the greatest wildlife spectacle during these two day stay in kogatende area and lobo region of Serengeti national park. We shall be spending the 2 nights in kogatende campsite where you will be having your dinner from.

Day 7: Central Serengeti National Park

After witnessing the great migration of the wildebeest in the northern part of Serengeti, return to central Serengeti in seronera region to continue with your exploration of the park where you are like to encounter several big cats including lions, leopards, cheetahs among others. You will be spending the night in seronera campsite.

Day 8-9: Ngorongoro conservation area

After the breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will be able to descend to the Ngorongoro crater. The crater is the home to all the big five of Africa. You will also be able to witness other animals like hippos and different bird species like the flamingos. After the first day in crater, the second day will be spent while visiting other places outside the crater where you will continue to explore the various landscape where you will also visit the Olduvai gorge where the first human remain were found.

Day 10: Maasai Village (Cultural Village), end the trip

On our final day of this great adventure will be visiting the Masai village who are the native of the region. You will get to know their traditions and wellbeing of these people. After the visit to the masai village, you will drive back to arusha to catchup with your next flight to your next destination and that will be the end of this great adventure.
